Meet the friendly staff at Lane Veterinary Services!
Calvin was born and raised on a Dairy farm in Hastings County just north of Belleville. He graduated in 1981 from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. His first position was in Middleton, Nova Scotia in a mixed animal practice. After a year he moved back to Ontario and practiced at Sydenham Veterinary Services.
Patsy grew up on a mixed farm on Howe Island with her 12 sisters and brothers. The farm raised 60 dairy cows, 80 beef cows, 400 sheep, 22 horses and ponies as well as chickens, geese, ducks and Border Collie sheep dogs.
I am in my second year at St. Lawrence in the Veterinary Technology program!
I have worked as a Veterinary Technician for many years.
Damica grew up in the south Frontenac area with many animal friends – from dogs and cats to horses and rabbits. These experiences lead her to select high school courses to attain a career working with animals. In 2017, she graduated and went straight to St Lawrence College. In July 2018, Damica graduated with a Veterinary Assistant Diploma; which included doing her placement here in April.
She worked for many years with Subway and with The Barkitorium dog walking since graduating.
In October, we hired Damica part-time; which became full time in November as the receptionist / veterinary assistant in the practice.
On her days off: Damica enjoys going on trial rides with her best friend; and going for long walks in the local park with her dog, Taz!
